Introduction

The Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute at Iran University of Science and Technology was established in 1399 (2020) as an educational, research, and development center for the oil and gas industries. This institute is active in the studies of enhanced oil recovery and development project preparation, ecological innovation and technology development, as well as the execution of industrial and research projects in the field of oil and gas industries. One of the major research achievements of this center is the signing of a major research contract aimed at studying technological solutions for enhanced oil recovery from the Doroud field. In this contract, the university will collaborate with the National Iranian Oil Company as a technological advisor to the National Iranian South Oilfields Company for a period of 10 years, focusing on upstream oil operations and comprehensive studies on enhanced and improved oil recovery.

Two-Phase Flow Fledging Device

This device is used to examine the properties and flow regime of two-phase flows.

High-Pressure and High-Temperature Corrosion Testing Device

Various types of corrosion tests such as impedance and galvanic corrosion can be performed on samples based on their material and application. This allows for the examination of corrosion causes, selection of suitable materials, increasing the service life of components, and implementing novel cathodic or anodic protection methods.

Particle Size and Distribution Measurement Device

The particle size and distribution measurement device is well-suited for both commercial and scientific applications and is used for analyzing particle size distribution.

UV Device

This device determines the optical properties of samples in the ultraviolet wavelength range. Using this method, it is possible to determine how much light of a specific wavelength passes through a sample and how much of it is absorbed.

Various Ovens and Furnaces

Furnaces are used for conducting high-temperature heat operations, while ovens are used for drying laboratory equipment and desired samples.
